Latest News - Hard Drive Worldwide Shortage & Price Increases
Recent extreme flooding in Thailand has closed down some hard drive manufactures and companys that make the parts that go inside i.e the motors. This has caused a worldwide shortage and is expected to continue for the rest of this Q4 this year and Q1 next year. One hard drive manufacture has confirmed it will not be shipping new stock out of their factorys until June 2012. All manufactures have increased their prices as hard drive pricing has more than doubled - we have waited until as late as possible to increase our prices, but we have now had to increase some of our system prices in line with everyone else. We do not currently have any shortage on stock as we buy in massive quantitys here at Palicomp, and have ensured we have enough stock to get us through this tough time.
