Latest Desktop Intel Ranges

DDR4 memory has been the main type of RAM used in several generations of PCs for years now, but its successor is waiting in the wings. DDR5 memory is now available and ready to debut on Intel’s upcoming Alder Lake processors, but with even that new generation of CPU supporting both DDR5 and DDR4, a question remains: Is DDR5 worth the upgrade? DDR5 is going to be better than DDR4 in pretty much every different aspect. Most notably, DDR5 will have a higher bandwidth with reduced latency, all whilst consuming less power than DDR4. It will also allow us to have greater RAM capacity, and therefore a much more powerful computer. In our opinion, if budget is not an issue, go for DDR5, if you already have a decent lump of DDR4 RAM then re-use it and go for DDR4.
